Verizon Global Modem

To use the modem, just plug it in. If you have a network cable plugged in, the computer will just pick one and not really give you the option. So, to be sure you know which one it’s using, disconnect the network cable when testing. To access it, it provides a URL http://my.usb but all it does it take you to 192.168.1.1. So if you have both a network cable and the modem connected, you may get the main building router instead of the config for the modem (which is why it’s advised to disconnect one or the other).

Once you are viewing the settings page, you have the option to connect and disconnect from the modem, and enable and disable mobile data. You need to be both connected and have mobile data on for you to access the internet. It is currently configured to auto-connect once plugged in, but that can be changed in the settings. Below are screenshots of pertinent settings screens and what options are available. One thing to keep in mind, is that we only get about 5mb/5mb for bandwidth. So it should be sufficient for webinars, and light streaming, but nothing drastic.
